Busy week.

Monday we watched the Clippers lose to Utah. It was the first time we got to see Baron Davis play, and he was awesome. Marcus Camby, not so much. Had Prop 8 not passed I might have considered gay-marrying Baron. We swapped our regular seats in 109 for seats in PR12, the “Premier Section.” Aside from the fact that you could get a Nate ‘n Al’s corned beef sandwich delivered to your seat, it’s not any better than our regular seats. It’s definitely further away. I have a better view of the whole court, but next time we are offered seats there we will pass.

Tuesday night, great victory! Wow. I watched the election at the same place I watched the depressing 2004 election, with some of the same people. What a difference 4 years makes. Malia had promised Champagne for victory and whiskey for defeat. We opened 3 bottles of bubbly. Good riddance to Bush and his ilk! I feel like I have finally left the incompetent dictatorship I’ve lived in the last 8 years and am back home. It is awesome to live in a country where Obama is president.

Wednesday night, tennis with our new friend Jeff and Spanish friend Carolina. I hope she makes me paella someday.

Thursday, Old Crow Medicine Show at the Music Box. In addition to playing two great sets, at the end of the show Jakob Dylan and Gillian Welch came out and played with them. They played The Weight. Here’s a video from last year, minus Jakob Dylan. The version we saw was way better.
