Spent last week in Memphis for the Thanksgiving holiday. In addition to the normal Thanksgiving feast (see link below) I ate Payne’s barbeque several times. When I’m coming in town, my mom usually just orders a whole pork shoulder so that we can save ourselves the trouble of multiple trips. We made a trip to the Hi-Tone (now run by my old buddy Jonathan Kiersky) to see my sister’s boyfriend’s band, Vending Machine.
This week I made a quick visit to Columbus, Ohio - my first time there. Thursday night we attended a party at The Standard’s Poolside Bar for my friend Chad Gervich’s new book, Small Screen Big Picture. Friday night we attended Christmas at the Castaneda for the second year. Here’s a link to the webcast.
I promised Noah that I’d post the recipe for the corn pudding that you can see in my Thanksgiving pics. I’ll get to that tomorrow.
While I was writing this, a B-2 flew right over my house, probably below 10,000 feet. It was loud enough to set off car alarms and bring my neighbors and I outside. Strange. No idea what he was doing.
